Job Summary

Supports DoD/DoW communications training events for various Department of Defense (DoD) / Department of War (DoW) and U.S. Government agency personnel. Strong background in networking and tactical communications, along with hands-on experience in RF systems, waveforms, and associated software tools.

This is a remote position with significant travel (50–75%) to training sites across the U.S. and potentially overseas.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provides on-site and remote support for DoD/DoW communications training events. Assists in the development of compliant training materials and supporting documentation. Coordinates with operational units to verify and complete all training prerequisites and preparation. Delivers hands-on training covering systems such as UHF/VHF, HF, RF, MANET, and associated software. Supports operational units in establishing initial communications plans and activating various terminal types. Provides pre/post-event phone and technical support as needed. Collaborates with internal and external teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of communications solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have a strong background in tactical communications and/or networking. Must have hands-on experience with RF communications equipment, including UHF/VHF, HF, MANET, and associated software platforms. Must have proven experience working in or supporting DoD/DoW or other government agency environments. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in high-tempo environments. Must be a U.S. Citizen (due to contract and clearance requirements).

Prior military communications or signals experience (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps), a plus. Experience developing or delivering technical training to military or government audiences, a plus. Familiarity with SATCOM, waveform management, or tactical radio systems (e.g., Harris, Thales, TrellisWare), a plus.
