Job Summary
Working in a waterfront environment at public and private shipyards in the NAVSTA Mayport FL area and understands C4I shipboard installations with the ability to work with minimum supervision and be a team player. Strong communication and verbal skills for communicating with ship forces, vendors, and peers. Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and work in fast paced environment. Duties will include providing support services for East Coast shipboard installations in the areas of scheduling, status reporting, de-conflicting converging efforts of other agencies and contractors other than NIWC. Review and red line installation drawings a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provides the NIWC CANES AIT Manager with on-site installation management oversight of shipyard and other installation contractors and tradesmen. Liaisons between the NIWC OSIC /TD and the NIWC AIT Manager to adjudicate issues that will affect installation production and system testing. Reviews installation drawings, makes recommendations for red-lines and develop LARS. Attends Production Meetings, develop and maintain installation POA&Ms. Makes decisions on the deck-plates to deconflict issues that slow production. Walks spaces where installation affects, looks for potential roadblocks or items that may cause delay and disruption to AIT, writes LARs to mitigate, ensures the AIT is conducting install according to MIL STDs and GSO, monitors progress of AIT, submits DSRs documenting independent observations, assists ISEA and GOVT with light off of equipment, troubleshoots faulty equipment/cabling, installs shock mounts on racks prior to AIT landing on Foundations, and coordinates with ships force on various aspects of the install.

Familiar with NAVSEA TECH SPEC 9090-310 (X).
Education Requirements
High School degree or GED
Certifications
Must have a Secret security clearance. OSHA Maritime 10-hour course. Certifications as a Shipyard Competent Person, Electrical Connector Fabrication, Fiber Optic Fabrication (considered a plus).
